I’m on vacation

I’m in Valdosta visiting my daughter Michele. We’ve been having lots of fun. We went up to Vidalia to attend a wedding of one of Michele’s friends. It was a three hour drive. Fortunately we had made reservations for half way home. We tried to take a lot of pictures and will share the ones we have with you.
We went to a park near here and you’ll never believe what I did! Michele wanted to go out in the small lake in a paddle boat. I’ve always been terrified of the thought but I decided I was going to go anyway! It was so much fun and so relaxing. I’m really looking forward to doing it again.
We’ve been going for rather long walks every day. The complex Michele lives in has a sidewalk that goes all around the circle. It’s convenient and clean. We went over to her college. It is such a beautiful campus. We walked around for quite a long time and took pictures.

We’ve gone out to eat a couple of times - once to celebrate Mother’s Day and once to celebrate Michele’s birthday. Michele and I are going on a trip to Savannah. We’re staying in the historic district of Savannah. The trolley can pick us up in front of the Inn. We are planning to take the trolley to the Gryphon Tea Room for lunch. In the evening we will have dinner at the Six Pence Pub and go on the the ghost walk. The Inn offers a continental breakfast. After breakfast we plan to ride on a horse drawn carriage and visit the River Walk for some praline samples.
More later.
Love, Glo

I went out on a paddle boat on my birthday; it was a great time, until we saw that there were water snakes. We didn’t see that until AFTER we’d finished, which was probably good considering how gross snakes are!

Sounds like you’re having a great time. Say hello to Michele for me :)

I am glad you are having fun visiting Michele (and enjoying the warmth). Hopefully it will warm up by the time you get back and we can get outside for some fun. Enjoy the rest of your vacation. :D
